Throughout Quarter Two at York Middle School, the staff engaged in a new initiative called Wicked Good Wildcats. This project encouraged staff to recognize the good things students do at YMS! Staff used the Quarterly Theme (Teamwork) and HOWLs (Habits of Work and Learning) which focus on Respect, Responsibility, and Perseverance to guide them in what they are looking for to nominate a student.
Students who were recognized were all listed in the given a shout out during morning announcements, names were shared on the TV in the cafeteria and the YMS weekly newsletter, each student was offered a small prize, and one student was drawn as the winner of a York Wildcats shirt.
