Congrats to Team J, “Jetfueled”, who was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy for earning the respect and admiration of the volunteers at the event. They were a model for all to follow because they demonstrated how to interact with everyone in a positive, respectful manner in the spirit of friendly competition and cooperation. They were outstanding representatives of York School District!
Team G, “3G-T”, a mix of YHS and YMS students, knocked it out of the park with their performance on Saturday, bringing home not one, but two trophies for robot performance — second place for Robot Skills and 1st place for head-to-head performance. They are this year’s Maine State Tournament Champions for middle school division, earning an invitation to the VEX World’s Championship in Dallas, TX in May!
