The first report card was released on Friday, November 14th via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Directions are included here: How To: View Report Cards in Parent/Student Portal. The parent portal will be available to access for the next two weeks. If you have any questions about the report card grades, please contact your child's teacher. If you have trouble accessing the parent portal, please contact the YMS front office.
This is also a great time to review your child's attendance data. Now that we are in the second quarter, we will be sending home attendance alerts for students who have reached five or more unexcused absences or tardies. Please reach out to administration or counselors if you are experiencing difficulties getting your child to school.
Finally, we are making an adjustment to our dismissal routine this week. We ask anyone picking up a fifth or sixth grade student to use the drop-off/pick-up loop in the staff parking lot. Anyone picking up a seventh or eighth grade student, please use the main driveway at the front of the school. Please remember to pull all the way forward to the line past the front door. We expect this change to help with traffic flow and make our afternoon routine run more efficiently. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
