Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Everyone,
We have just two days of school remaining before the Thanksgiving. There is no school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and school resumes on Monday, December 1st. In the spirit of the season, our students are leading several meaningful service projects. The Student Council Sock Drive concludes tomorrow, the Fifth Grade Annual Tree Fostering Project wraps up on Tuesday, and YMS is also participating in the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital Toy Drive through December 5th. You’ll find additional details about each initiative below.
As we look ahead to December and colder weather, please remind your student to bring a warm jacket for recess. We go outside daily and want all students to be comfortable.
As we enter this season of gratitude, we also want to share how thankful we are—especially in our first year here—to be part of the York community. It is truly a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff and to support the wonderful students who make this school so special.
