Shaping the Future of Our Schools: Join the Conversation

January 9, 2026

Dear York Community,

As we continue to evaluate the best path forward for our School Department, we want to ensure that every voice in our town is heard. School reorganization and consolidation are significant topics that affect not just our students and teachers, but our entire community.

To facilitate an open and transparent dialogue, we are hosting two Public Information Nights this month. These sessions are designed to provide a clear overview of the current proposals, offer educational insights into the "why" behind these changes, and—most importantly—listen to your feedback.

Join Us:

  • When: Wednesday, January 14th & Wednesday, January 21st

  • Time: 5:00 PM

  • Where: York Public Library

We Want to Hear from You Early

To make these evenings as productive as possible, we want to walk into the room prepared with the answers you need. We have developed a questionnaire to gather your questions and concerns ahead of time.

By sharing your thoughts via this survey, you allow the committee to identify the most pressing themes—whether they are about the long-term financial impact or academic programming

—and address them directly during the presentation.

Your perspective is invaluable as we work together to build a sustainable and thriving educational environment for York’s students. We look forward to seeing you at the library on the 14th and 21st.
