Hi Everyone,
We have officially reached April vacation—a well-earned milestone in the school year. Thank you to YMS Student Council for organizing a fun and spirited week that helped energize our community as we headed into the break. We also want to express our appreciation to the many families who were able to attend our spring conference evenings over the past two weeks. We hope you found these conversations with your child’s teachers informative and meaningful. Your partnership and involvement play a vital role in each student’s success, and we truly value the time you take to stay connected with our school.
As a reminder, there is no school next week. School resumes on Monday, April 27th. When we return from vacation, we will enter the final stretch of the school year. This is an exciting time for continued learning and opportunities to celebrate our YMS community. IIt is also a time of reflection and forward thinking, as students begin to look ahead to their next year in middle school or the start of high school.
As a follow-up to the YMS 2026–2027 Student Scheduling Update shared yesterday, you will find more detailed information regarding course selection, along with the selection forms, included below. The Google forms will guide you through the steps of the process. Should any questions arise, please do not hesitate to reach out to administration or counselors—we are here to help. Course selection forms for students entering grade 6–8 are due Wednesday, April 29th. Students entering grade 5 will make their music/art selections in May following our visit to CRES.
Wishing you and your family a safe and enjoyable vacation! We look forward to supporting all of our students as they finish the year strong.
Sincerely,
Tim & Tisha
